A warm welcome awaits you every Wednesday at the Church Hall in Kirkley. We open at 10am and close at 4pm. Coffee and tea is served from 10.30 and a freshly cooked lunch is served at 12.00, made by our volunteer cooks on site. We serve a main course with fresh vegetables and a dessert.
We welcome members old and new to enjoy a warm meal and good company to help lift spirits. Some of our members have known each other for many years. Others are new to the area and come for the company and a good meal.

We work closely with the Kirkley Pantry and often have free food to give away to lunch club diners if the Pantry has any surpluses. We make every effort to use any extra food the Pantry has. In this way, not only is a nourishing meal provided but food waste is reduced to a minimum.
When we can, we like to serve our members their favourite meals. Current favourites are cheese and potato pie, beef casserole and dumplings, chicken curry, lasagne and toad in the hole. Most of our members like fresh vegetables and in the summer we use the fresh produce from our Community Garden. For pudding we serve trifles, crumble, bread and butter pudding, lemon traybake and chocolate pudding to name a few favourites.
